PPP adopts resolution against canal projects on Indus River

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Council convened its meeting at the Chief Minister's House under the chairmanship of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The meeting saw participation from provincial, divisional, and district-level office bearers, along with members of parliament and party ticket holders.
The council paid homage to the late Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
The council expressed full confidence in the leadership of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and senior party leader Faryal Talpur.
A resolution against the controversial canal projects on the Indus River was tabled during the session, which was unanimously adopted by all members.
The council also passed a resolution condemning the Jafar Express catastrophe and held discussions on the political situation in the province.
Moreover, preparations for the public gathering on April 4, marking the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, were also reviewed.
