LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan is emerging from darkness and moving towards progress.

During a meeting with Punjab Assembly members from Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, and Pakpattan divisions, discussions focused on public welfare projects and future political strategies.

Sharif said that economic indicators were improving, noting that the policy rate had been reduced from 22 percent to 12 percent, stimulating economic activity.

He highlighted the stock market reaching record levels, a stable rupee, and declining inflation.

Sharif also credited Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts for economic recovery, which had been acknowledged by the IMF.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz remarked that improving people's lives was their ultimate reward.

Lawmakers praised Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, describing him as a symbol of Pakistan’s prosperity and capability.

The meeting was attended by senior party leaders, including Senator Pervaiz Rasheed and Rana Sanaullah.
