Pakistan is facing the brunt of development of developed countries
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal asserted that climate change was the biggest challenge and international community must cooperate with countries including Pakistan.
Addressing the ceremony of National Disaster Risk Management Fund, Iqbal stated that climate change was the biggest challenge and Pakistan was facing the brunt of it despite having no contribution to it.
Pakistan was the most vulnerable country ranked 7th in the list of most affected countries with climate change.
Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the impacts of climate change including the flash floods of 2022 bearing a loss of 30 million.
Federal minister insisted that the financial aid for this purpose had also to be paid back.
He stressed that developed countries must cooperate with developing countries which were the target of disasters because of their industrial development.
