I’ll remain loyal to my father Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Imran Khan, says PTI MNA
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zain Qureshi on Saturday resigned as deputy parliamentary leader of the party in National Assembly.
Zain Qureshi said that he resigned to ensure independent and transparent inquiry against him.
He added that he also responded to the show-cause notice issued to him by the party.
He said that he would remain loyal to his father Shah Mehmood Qureshi and PTI founder Imran Khan.
Qureshi was earlier accused of alleged floor-crossing during the 26th constitutional amendment.
The party had issued show-cause notices to its members who allegedly crossed the floor during the 26th constitutional amendment process.
The notices were issued to Senator Zarqa Taimur, Senator Faisal Salim, MNA Zain Qureshi, Riaz Fatiana and Mukdad Ali.

The accused members were asked to submit written explanations and appear before an inquiry committee. The move came after allegations that some members had disappeared during key voting sessions.
Earlier, Zain Qureshi had said that a propaganda was disseminated against him on the constitutional amendment.
The MNA from Multan said that he went into hiding on the directions of his father Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
“I wasn’t present in the National Assembly when the 26th amendment was passed. A fake news was disseminated against me,” he said.
