Punjab chief secretary heads the committee which will submit report in two days
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday constituted a fact-finding committee to ascertain truth into the matter of a private college incident.
Sources said the committee would provide a detailed report to the chief minister within 48 hours.
According to the notification, the committee would be headed by the Punjab chief secretary and include the home secretary, Punjab advocate general, higher education secretary, special education secretary and specialised healthcare and medical health secretary as its members.
The authorities said the committee could also add other members for assistance. The committee would glean information and evidences in the case while recording statements of college students, teachers and administration.
The committee would examine all aspects of the matter including quick response from the college administration and treatment of police.
Meanwhile, CM Maryam in her statement on the ‘Rural Women Day’ reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to bring rural women on par with their urban counterparts. She also paid tribute to rural women for their tireless determination and hard work.
