COAS Munir says resolving traders issues top priority

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir met with the renowned businessmen of the city and discussed different facets of the country's economy.

During his visit, the COAS invited the traders to work hand in hand with Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) for the betterment of the country's economy.

The ISPR said the COAS visited Karachi and met with business leaders to discuss important issues problems related to the economy.

Speaking to the business leaders, he said: "A year ago, I told you all not to despair, as despair is a sin. Never give up hope for the prosperity of Pakistan," adding that joint efforts have helped defeat attempts to create despair within society.

He mentioned the country’s exceptional capabilities in various sectors, reiterating that the country seeks to secure its rightful place on the global stage through its own resources.

General Munir also praised the role of Pakistan’s foreign allies, especially China, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, for their contributions to the country's economic recovery.

"Google, Starlink and other international companies are investing in Pakistan," the army chief announced.

He also mentioned that these positive developments could not have been possible sans the indefatigable role of the business community.

Moreover, the COAS assured the traders of the city that their challenges and concerns would be addressed on priority.
