PTI to move SC over proposed constitutional amendment issue

Petition will be filed by PTI’s sitting senators and party ticket holders for senate seats from KP
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to challenge proposed constitutional amendment issue in the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, Dunya News reported on Sunday.
According to the sources, a petition against the constitutional amendments will be filed today (Monday). The PTI claims that the Senate (upper house of the parliament) lacks representation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa therefore the constitutional amendments cannot be tabled.
The PTI sources further informed that the petition will be filed by the PTI’s sitting senators and the party ticket holders for the senate seats from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the Senate is incomplete due to lacks representation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
