Not an aid, but a cardinal commitment to uplift the Baloch youth, CM says
UK (Haseeb Arslan) - Balochistan’s Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has announced a new graduate scholarship for the Baloch students at Oxford University.
The announcement was made at the Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) Endowment Fund's prestigious annual dinner in Oxford, UK.
The dinner was attended by around 150 distinguished guests, including former Caretaker PM and currently Senator Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, Malala Yousafzai, Professor Kamal Munir (Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cambridge), Senior academics and administrators from University of Oxford and prominent Pakistanis in UK.
On the occasion, the CM emphasised the crucial role of education in democracy and societal advancement.
He says, “New scholarship marks a significant milestone in our commitment to nurturing future leaders from Balochistan.
He articulated how this initiative would not only addresses educational disparities but also would also enhance the linkage between local aspirations and global educational standards.
It is a fundamental commitment to the educational transformation and empowerment of Balochistan’s youth,” the CM outlined.
The CM, afterwards, felicitated OPP and all contributors for their role in actualizing this transformative project, heralding it as a fundamental step towards educational equality and empowerment.
