ECP asks election personnel to announce results within 30 minutes
ISLAMABAD (APP) - The Election Commission of Pakistan instructed the Provincial Election Commissioners and Returning Officers to announce election results within 30 minutes or face serious consequences.
The ECP, in a statement, also clarified that various media channels reporting election results based on the Commission sources were inaccurate, as it had not officially released any results.
Meanwhile, Dunya News reported that despite the directives of the Election Commission of Pakistan, arrival of results still remained slow.
The Election Commission of Pakistan before the start of the elections had said that the Provincial Election Commissioners and ROs were bound to send the results of their respective constituencies to the office of Election Commission till 2am, but contrary to this the results were not trickling thick and fast.
