Nawaz to become PM if PML-N secures simple majority, says Shehbaz
LAHORE (Dunya News) – PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif asserted on Wednesday that if his party secures a simple majority, Nawaz Sharif will be its candidate for the position of prime minister; otherwise a decision will be reached through consultation.
Speaking with a private news channel, the former premier remarked that the electorate would determine which party would lead the government in the country tomorrow [Thursday].
Shehbaz emphasised the necessity for politicians to make significant choices, stressing that state-owned enterprises causing losses should undergo privatisation.
The PML-N president also underlined the importance of providing children with quality education, noting that the former PML-N government had appointed 250,000 teachers based on merit.
Shehbaz highlighted the importance of collective progress in education and stressed the need for advancements in the IT sector.
