Policy of centralised admissions adopted for private colleges
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Monday released the first college-wise selection list of admissions to private medical and dental colleges in Punjab.
The selection list of 49 private medical and dental colleges was released for 4,000 MBBS and 1,025 BDS seats. Upon appearing in the list, candidates are required to submit the prescribed fee within three days.
As per the policy of the Punjab government, the centralised admissions policy has also been adopted for the private colleges.
In private medical colleges, the minimum merit for MBBS was 79.05 percent, while for BDS, it remained at least 76.10 percent.
The merit of Sharif Medical and Dental College Lahore was the highest in both Medicine and Dentistry at 89.31 percent.
The merit of Sharif Medical and Dental College Lahore was 89.31 percent; FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry Lahore was 88.02 percent, Al Aleem Medical College Lahore was 87.10 percent; and Shalamar Medical and Dental College Lahore was 86.88 percent.
The merit of Lahore Medical and Dental College Lahore was 86.63 percent; Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College Rawalpindi was 85.95 percent; and the merit of Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College Lahore was 85.85 percent.
The merit of Watim Medical College Rawalpindi was 85.48 percent; Rahbar Medical and Dental College Lahore 84.89 percent; Rashid Latif Medical College Lahore 83.91 percent; Eusina Medical College Lahore 83.41 percent; Sialkot Medical College Sialkot 82.70 percent; and University College of Medicine and Dentistry Lahore was 82.50 percent.
The Merit of Abwa Medical College Faisalabad 82.31 percent; Aziz Fatima Medical and Dental College Faisalabad 81.86 percent; Central Park Medical College Lahore 81.8364 percent; Multan Medical and Dental College Multan 81.44 percent, Continental Medical College Lahore 81.44 percent; and the merit of Dental College Multan was 81.17 percent.
The merit of Islam Medical College Sialkot 81.05 percent; RLKU Medical and Dental College Lahore 80.85 percent; M Islam Medical College Gujranwala 80.61 percent; Amina Inayat Medical College Sheikhupura 80.5273 percent; Pak Red Crescent Medical and Dental College Kasur 80.45 percent; and merit of Medical and Dental College Lahore was 80.01 percent.
The merit of Abu Amara Medical and Dental College Lahore was 79.98 percent; Independent Medical College Faisalabad 79.72 percent; Shahida Islam Medical College Lodhran 79.62 percent; Niazi Medical and Dental College Sargodha 79.50 percent; and University Medical and Dental College Faisal was 79.41 percent.
The merit of Rai Medical College Sargodha 79.15 percent; Sahara Medical College Narowal 79.05 percent; Dental Section of Sharif Medical and Dental College Lahore 81.45 percent; Watim Dental College Rawalpindi 79.86 percent; Margalla Institute of Health Sciences Rawalpindi 79.03 percent; and Aosina Dental College Lahore 78.65 percent.

The merit of Rashid Latif Dental College Lahore 77.16 percent; Ezra Naheed Dental College Lahore 76.75 percent; Dental College Bakhtawar Amin Medical and Dental College Multan 76.72 percent; Dental Section of Niazi Medical and Dental College Sargodha 76.65 percent; and Dental Section of University Medical and Dental College Faisalabad was 76.57.
The merit of Dental Section of Multan Medical and Dental College was 76.53 percent; Faryal Dental College Sheikhupura 76.30 percent; and Shahida Islam Dental College Lodhran was 76.10 percent.
The deadline for candidates to submit their fees to their colleges is Jan 11 and candidates must also join their respective colleges and they should submit their fees through demand draft.
The second selection list would be released on Jan 15.
