Balochistan government presents Rs750 billion budget
QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Balochistan government on Monday presented Rs750billion budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 (FY2023-24).
Finance Minister Zamark Achakzai is presenting the budget.
The provincial government raised salaries of government employees of grade 1-16 by 35pc and grade 17-22 by 30pc. On the other hand, the government also increased pensions by 17.5pc. The minimum wages were also increased from Rs25,000 to Rs32,000.
The government set aside Rs437 billion for non-development expenditures and Rs229 billion for Public Sector Development Program (PSDP). The total revenue for Balochistan was set at Rs701 billion.
