Wrong cases affect position of administration: PTI leader

MULTAN (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Saturday he never supported 9/5 incidents and had nothing to do with them.

However, he was very much part of the PTI, he reiterated. He said many cases had been registered against him but none of them could be proved in a court of law.

He said he would be part of the PTI as a senior leader. He said he was not involved in any wrongdoing and neither was he in favour of it.

Speaking to the media outside the Multan sessions court, Qureshi said he was part of the PTI and five cases were registered against him in Multan and he was accused of 13 allegations but none of them could be proved. He said he was not present in Multan but was in Islamabad where he was arrested and sent to Adiala Jail.

The false cases registered in Multan had tarnished the administration's credibility, he said. He said he was detained under the Anti-Terrorism Act and was not involved in any wrongdoing during the May 9 events, either directly or indirectly.
