PTI leaders allowed to go after marking attendance
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A Lahore court on Thursday extended the interim bail of PTI leaders till May 16 in a case pertaining to arson and violence against police at Zaman Park.
The hearing was held on the interim bails of PTI leaders. PTI leaders Farrukh Habib, Ejaz Chaudhry, Hammad Azhar and Mahmoodur Rashid appeared in the court.
The court allowed Farrukh Habib, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid and Ejaz Chaudhry to go after marking the attendance.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry filed a plea for exemption from attending the court. The petition stated that Fawad Chaudhry was part of the PTI negotiations team with government.
The court asked Hammad Azhar that which date should be fixed for next hearing. Hammad Azhar said that the elections were to be held on May 14 and they had to go to Islamabad on 17th.
The court then asked whether the elections were going to be held on May 14 or not. Hammad replied that elections should be held on May 14 as per law, but he could not say anything about what government was going to do.
The court accepted Fawad Chaudhary's request for exemption from appearing. The court extended the interim bail of Fawad Chaudhry, Farrukh Habib, Hammad Azhar and others till May 16.
