The PTI chief addressed a large gathering of his workers

LAHORE (Dunya News) – PTI Chairman Imran Khan in his latest public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, once again showed intention to thrive for the betterment of the country and rejuvenate his struggle.

Addressing a large crowd, he said, that his intentions are rightful and he have faith in Allah that he will come out victorious of this draconian time. He said, about 2000 of his workers have been arrested. Imran khan extended the allegations by saying, the police first killed his worker Zillay Shah and then registered a case against him for the murder. The police should be ashamed of what they are doing.

Mr. Khan said, the administration first gave permission for rally on 8 March and later rolled it back, they also tortured our workers. They are still trying to make a public disturbance, and then use it as an excuse to delay the election. Our workers were brutally tortured and police fired tear gas on them just because the workers were participating in a peace-full rally.

He said, police did butchery outside Zaman Park and came with armored cars as if I am a terrorist, I have been living in this country for my whole life. The PTI chairman claimed, I was ready to give myself into the custody, but my workers suspicious of my anticipated murder in jail, stopped me.

He added, despite the protective bail, they tortured my nephew Hassan Niazi, just because he is my relative. Also, the same brutality is being done with Azhar Mashwani. They killed Arshad Shareef just because he stood firm on the rightful path. The desperate government is hunting down anyone who is supporting the truth. They tried to deter us, by terrorism threats, even in this gathering.

Pakistan can only be made independent in true sense when a strong leadership will take over, not the cowards. I salute the nation who have come here tonight without any fear, Mr. Khan added.

Furthermore, he said, the police cowardly raided my home, knowing that I was not there. The warrants were to be executed in the presence of Shibli Faraz, nominee from my side. However, they barged through the door, got inside and tortured females, my wife was at home and she was terrified. I ask all the authorities, how they would feel if the same happens to them. This type of brutality can only be done in banana republic.

He, once again, made allegations that some people in power had made a plan to kill me during my appearance at judicial complex. The capital police continuously fired tear gas and tried to isolate me, so they could arrest me easily. They want to kill me like Murtaza Bhutto. The capital police were pelting stones on us when we reached judicial complex. One of my worker informed me that a lot of unknown persons were waiting for me inside judicial complex and there was full-fledged plan to kill me, thankfully, we escaped from the scene. I heard IG Islamabad was infuriated after listening that I have exited the judicial complex.

Mr. Khan said, "when I got back, workers apprised me that a large contingent of FC was ready for an operation against us. The government is kidnapping our workers and making raids at their homes in night. They have apprehended Dr. Rubina from her clinic. He said, the government should show empathy like I did in my tenure, Mr. Khan said, I even offered food for the long marches our opponents were doing."

He reiterated his stance by taking a pledge from the attendants that they will fight against the law of jungle and thrive for the establishment of justice. Moreover, he added, 40 case of terrorism have been registered against me and also shared his apprehensions that what would they do to ordinary citizens?.

The citizens of rural areas are living under crushing pressure by the prevailing feudal system. The unjust system in the interior Sindh, encouraged by PPP co-chairperson Asif Zardari, is one of the  most cruel systems of the world. These corrupt leaders, indicating towards the coalition government, he said, have made a mess out of country and a mass exodus is underway. The lawlessness and the absence of rule of law is forcing citizens to emigrate from the country.

The expatriates leaving their home country are much very depressed, but they cannot return back due to the current system of injustice and rampant corruption. He vowed once again to make Pakistan an Islamic republic in true sense. In medieval ages, referring to the rise of Islamic empire, he said, the Arabs came out of nowhere and dominated the world later. They experienced a lot of hardships but firm faith led them towards success and they defeated the dominant world powers of their time. He reminded the public that through-out the course of history, it has been established that the system of injustice cannot prevail. He also showed optimism that these shackles, we are experiencing today, will wither away.

He said, we should learn from the history and make a state based on Islamic principles, the state under the leadership of the blessed prophet and his companions became glorious. The rule of law in that empire was extra-ordinary. The PTI chairman also quoted a lot of happenings from the Islamic Empire to encourage the establishment of justice and supremacy of law.

While talking about the economy, Mr. Khan said, the economic condition of the country is at its worse. The only way to uplift the country from these miseries is a free and fair election, only an elected and public support holder prime minister can make tough decisions, which are now inevitable. The PTI chairman, also shared an economic roadmap that how his party has planned to ameliorate the deteriorating economic situation by reducing the trade deficits, enhancing tax collection, encouraging remittances and foreign investment. Moreover, he said, we need to invest in industry and increase our agricultural productivity.

While criticising the delay in elections, he said, the constitution of Pakistan says that election cannot be delayed more than 90 days, how ECP is delaying them when Supreme Court (SC) has announced the date?. Mr. Khan asked, How you (ECP) will arrange resources in October?. Even the IMF clarified that they do not have reservations regarding the conduct of elections.

Mr. Khan requested the legal fraternity to get-up and fight these unconstitutional steps. We should support SC and stand by judiciary. Westerners have taken over us at the world stage due to their strict adherence to law and order.
