Abbasi says nine months not enough to end four years of crisis

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Monday nine months were not enough to end the four years of negligence and devastation caused by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government.

Expressing his thoughts on the political situation, Mr Abbasi said, “How would such a country function, where cabinet decisions used to be called wrong asked the former premier." Saying that the miracle could not happen in a single day, Mr Abbasi said there was a dire need to find solutions to all the problems facing the country.

Reiterating the demand to dissolve the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Mr Abbasi said otherwise, the officers could not take decisions.

In a dig at his political opponents, Mr Abbasi stated that in order to bring political stability to the country, responsibility must be demonstrated, but not through the politics of "the assemblies’ dissolution."

Recounting the year 2018, Mr Abbasi said, "We still believe that the mandate of 2018 election was stolen. "
Questioning his opponents, Mr. Abbasi said, "What made them to think about the assemblies’ dissolution."

"The obstacles in the country’s politics will remain as long as the matters are not sorted out," added Mr Abbasi.
