Balochistan CM demands 1pc security share from NFC award
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo said on Tuesday that Balochistan must also be given the share from security expenditures of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award.
The provincial cabinet demanded that the province must be given 1pc of the share earmarked for security measures in the award as Balochistan faced foreign-funded terrorism. “Balochistan is at the frontline of the security settlements and it spends up to Rs50 bn on security”, he added.
Balochistan is in the grips of perpetual terrorism and the recent times have seen multiple attacks on the soil resulting in the loss of many lives and increasing the likelihood of terrorism rturning to the country.
