Floods in Balochistan destroyed over 75,000 houses while 150,000 houses were partially damaged.

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Relief operation in flood-affected areas of Balochistan continues as death toll in different districts of the province stands at 336, Dunya News reported.

As per Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), death toll from recent monsoon rains and floods in different parts of Balochistan stands at 336, including 149 men, 80 women and 107 children, while 186 persons have been injured.

The PDMA reported that the heavy rains caused loss of over 322,400 livestock. The PDMA reported that over 75,000 houses were completely destroyed while 150,000 houses were partially damaged by the recent rains and floods in the province.

The PDMA reported that 2,378 km length of roads and 54 bridges were damaged due to the floods while standing crops on 233,265 acres of land were completely destroyed. The PDMA is conducting relief operations in the affected districts.
