PTI leaders get interim bail in Long March vandalism case

PTI leaders have been granted interim bail till July 19 by the court.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Anti-terrorism Court heard the case of vandalism by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in their long march to Islamabad. PTI leaders have been granted interim bail till July 19 by the court on Tuesday.

The anti-terrorism court judge Abhar Gull approved the pre-arrest bails of PTI leaders.

Earlier, the ATC in Lahore had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the former ruling party’s leaders at the request of Shahdara police station under charges of damaging public property, torturing police officials, and creating chaos during the party’s long march to Islamabad on May 25.

Outside the court, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Punjab President Dr Yasmin Rashid said that PTI will contest in the by-poll elections in Punjab with zeal while she also said that the party will not let anyone do rigging in the elections.

While PTI leader Hammad Azhar said that Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz has lost majority in the Punjab Assembly.

Other PTI leader Mian Mahmood Ur Rasheed said that PTI will win the by-polls of Punjab with prominent lead.
