Balochistan govt unveils budget with total outlay of Rs612 bn for FY2022-23
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan government on Tuesday presented a budget for the Fiscal Year 2022-23 with a total outlay of Rs 612.70 billion for the next financial year and a deficit of Rs 72.80 billion.
Balochistan Finance Minister Abdul Rehman Kethran presented the budget.
A sum of Rs 367 billion have been earmarked for non-development expenditures while Rs 191.5 billion have been allocated for developmental expenditures.
During the next fiscal year, the province intends to collect Rs 540 billion in income and spend Rs 612.79 billion.
The province is expected to receive Rs 370 billion from the federation during next financial year. Besides, it is expected to receive Rs 48.37 billion through various taxes, Rs 28.27 billion in federal development grant, Rs 40 billion in Sui Gas lease extension bonus, Rs 12.21 billion in capital revenue and development projects and Rs 14.36 billion in foreign funding.
A total of Rs 133 billion have been set aside for more than 3000 ongoing development schemes, while Rs 59 billion have been placed for new development schemes. A sum of 21 billion rupees has been allocated for the agriculture sector.
