KPK, Sindh and GB Governors resign from post

I have written my resignation and will send it to the President, says Imran Ismail.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Governors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistanon (G-B) on Monday resigned from their post.

Imran Ismail shared the resignation on his tweeter account, in which he mentioned that his self-esteem doesn’t allow him to work under the leadership of a person who has serious allegations of corruption against him.

“I refuse to work for culprits who are the subject of an ongoing federal investigation on account of serious charges of corruption and financial misconduct of billions of Rupees,” tweeted Imran Ismail.

While the Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon also resigned from his position and he has sent his resignation to President Arif Ali.

It may be recalled that Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon has even served as the Provincial Minister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to Mr. Maqpoon, his resignation was a decision of the party.

Eralier, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Shah Farman resigned from his post while the Sindh Governor Imran Ismail had announced to resign.

On the matter the Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that he will resign as soon as the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Shehbaz Sharif takes oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan.

He further said that he has started packing and will shift from Governor House in a day or two.

Meanwhile, Governor of KPK Shah Farman has resigned from his post. He has signed his resignation and even submitted it to the President.
