Opposition united to dislodge Imran Khan

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the opposition is united and will do everything constitutionally and legally possible to dislodge Imran Khan.

Talking to media after attending a lunch hosted by the opposition leader in the National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif in honour of the former President Asif Ali Zardari and the PPP chairman, he said that in today’s meeting, both parties shared their plans to dislodge the PTI government.

The PPP chairman said that the PML-N is going to consult on our suggestions very soon, adding that the government has made the lives of the people hell through historic poverty, inflation and unemployment.

Regarding the Kashmir issue, Bilawal said that the government has failed to form consensus on the Kashmir cause. He expressed his concerns over the increasing incidents of terror in the country, especially Balochistan.

“The government’s incapacity to deal with terrorism is very apparent,” he said and added it is natural that the government will be threatened with the unity in the opposition parties.

The PPP chairman also appreciated Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts to keep the opposition’s unity intact in the National Assembly.

He went on to say that the government could be dislodged by bringing a no-confidence motion, adding that the PPP is clear on the no-confidence and the PML-N is also trying to make a consensus on this issue. “It is the demand of the people and in the interest of the nation that Imran Khan is sent home,” he added.

To a question, Bilawal said the PML-N has welcomed our long march and the PPP has done the same on their long march, adding the more the coordination between the two parties, the better and we are united against Imran Khan.

Vice President PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz, the Political Secretary to the former President, Rukhsana Bangash, PPP Parliamentary leader in Punjab Assembly Hasan Murtaza, Khwaja Saad Rafiq and Maryam Aurangzeb were also present in the lunch hosted by Shahbaz Sharif.
