Fazlur Rehman condemns police action against MQM-P workers

Fazl strongly condemned the hooliganism of Sindh police against the peaceful MQM-P protesters.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned police action against Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) workers in Karachi on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Maulana Fazlur Rehman telephoned MQM-P leader Amir Khan to express his condolence on the death of an MQM-P worker who was wounded and later died when police resorted to tear gas shelling and baton-charge to disperse MQM-P protesters staging a sit-in outside the Sindh Chief Minister House against the recently passed local government law.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman strongly condemned the hooliganism of Sindh police against the peaceful MQM-P protesters. He also said that that a delegation of JUI-F will visit the MQM-P office today (Thursday) to condole the death of a worker.
Earlier in the day, one MQM-P worker was killed and several other were wounded when police baton-charged and tear-gassed peaceful Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) demonstrators who were holding protest in front of the Sindh CM House against the recently passed local government law by the provincial government.
