Seven killed, 12 injured in roof collapse incidents

Rescue teams have shifted the dead and injured persons to hospital.
CHINIOT/GUJRAT/GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – At least seven people, including two minors, died and 12 other persons were wounded in separate incidents of roof collapse in Chiniot, Gujrat and Gujranwala on Friday night, Dunya News reported.
According to details, roof of a dilapidated house located in village Aziz near Chiniot collapsed due the recent heavy rain due to which three persons sustained injuries.
Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
Roof of a house located in Asjad Town area of Gujrat also collapsed due to rain as a result a security guard was killed. The dead body of the deceased was handed over to his heirs.
Separately, two minor children were killed while their father and another child were wounded when roof of a house situated at the Hafizabad Road in Gujranwala due to heavy rain.
Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. Rescue sources said that the deceased were identified as five-year-old Asma and eight-year-old Iqra.
