Supreme Court acknowledges separation in punishment of Cannabis, Heroine consumption
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Wednesday acknowledged separation in punishment of Cannabis and Heroine consumption.
According to details, SC said that Cannabis is not as dangerous as Heroine and it is used for medicinal purposes too. The government has also introduced various policies related to consumption of Cannabis.
A seven-members bench headed by Justice Ijazul Hassan heard the case during which the punishments for the drug abusers were announced.
The court mentioned that a committee of Senate is working on the legislation of laws related to drugs. Moreover it ordered the court to provide written details and further scheduled the next hearing in January.
