LAHORE (Dunya News) - A major step forward under the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister has been achieved as free kidney transplant services have formally begun at Jinnah Hospital.

A successful kidney transplant operation was performed at Jinnah Hospital Lahore, marking the first transplant after the hospital received its license from the Punjab Healthcare Commission.

The recipient, 23-year-old Irfan, received a donated kidney from his aunt. Both the patient and the donor are reported to be in satisfactory condition and are recovering rapidly.

Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College, Dr Tayyiba Waseem, congratulated the urology department team on achieving this significant milestone.
