ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has unveiled a major decision regarding faculty transfers in medical colleges.

The council’s new policy now allows faculty members of private medical and dental colleges to transfer to other private institutions without obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

According to the PMDC directive, faculty seeking transfers must provide a copy of their resignation from the current institution. Additionally, they are required to submit an offer letter from the new college along with an affidavit. The revised policy replaces the previous rule, which made obtaining an NOC from the existing private college mandatory.

The new transfer regulations for private medical and dental colleges will come into effect from next year. Faculty members intending to switch colleges under this policy must comply with the updated documentation requirements to complete the transfer process smoothly.

The PMDC emphasised that the NOC requirement remains in place for government medical and dental colleges. Faculty members leaving government institutions must still secure an NOC before transferring to another college.
