LAHORE (Dunya News) - Polio seems uncontrollable despite vigorous multiple vaccination campaigns to overthrow this crippling disease as two more cases of the disease surfaced in Pakistan, rising the total number of polio cases to five in this corresponding year.

The new cases have been reported in Punjab and Sindh. Mandi Bahauddin of Punjab and District Qambar of Sindh have reported poliovirus cases, delivering a blow to the health authorities who always leave no stone unturned to check the ailments with polio eradication campaigns.

The disease has crippled hundreds of children worldwide, but now it existed only in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Earlier, DI Khan of KP and Larkana of Sindh had reported case with the beginning of 2025, whereas Punjab reports first case in this year.
