LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied reports suggesting that former Test cricketer Wahab Riaz has been appointed as a consultant for the national women’s cricket team.

In an official clarification issued by the PCB spokesperson, it was confirmed that Wahab Riaz remains associated with the board as a consultant and is currently working with various teams under the PCB’s umbrella. The spokesperson added that no additional responsibilities have been assigned to him at this stage.

Reports had recently circulated claiming that Wahab Riaz had been temporarily entrusted with the management of the women’s cricket team. However, the PCB has made it clear that such claims are unfounded.

The women’s team’s head coach position has been vacant since the end of Mohammad Wasim’s tenure. The board is yet to announce any replacement for the role.
