Sara claimed Aima wouldn’t succeed as a singer without the aid of autotune
(Web Desk) – A war of words between Aima Baig and Sara Raza Khan ensued after the latter commented on the singing skill of the former.
Aima Baig has found herself in the spotlight due to comments made by fellow singer Sara Raza Khan.
Aima Baig seems less impressive to dilute the impact of words from Sara Raza Khan, who said Aima Baig is not a successful singer if she does not give up taking help of autotune for singing.
Some even claimed that Aima’s attempt to prove Sara wrong was a childish move, labelling her as overly confident.
A user questioned: “What is the benefit of being such a singer who still proves their voice by making 1 video after singing for so long.”
Another commented: “She’s always over! Been trying to destroy her own image for the past two years. She needs help.”
One asked: “Can Aima Baig go one day without embarrassing herself?”
Sara claimed that Aima wouldn’t succeed as a singer without the aid of autotune.
The remarks came during Sara’s appearance on the show Zabardast with Wasi Shah.
When asked about her honesty regarding her peers’ vocal abilities, Sara didn’t hold back, asserting: “I don’t mince my words.”
Sara added that she often tells singers lacking talent to consider different entertainment options, even if it offends them.
Sara added: “If we take away the option of autotune, then Aima Baig is not a singer.”
This comment ignited a swift response from Aima, who took to social media to address the criticism.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Aima Baig re-shared posts from her supporters, showcasing her singing talent.
In a jibe directed at Sara, Aima wrote:
“We accept the talent that Allah Almighty has given someone. Anyways, can anyone tell me who this dear aunty is?
“Well actually… just leave it, never mind. Let me go enjoy my vacation LOL.”
This light-hearted dismissal indicated Aima’s intention to not take the comments too seriously.
Adding to her response, Aima posted a raw video of herself singing without any musical backing, captioning it: “Can somebody please give me some auto-tuner here?”
This move was a demonstration of her vocal skills and an assertion that she could perform well without technological enhancements.
However, the reaction from netizens was not as favourable as she might have hoped.
Many were unimpressed by the video, leading to immense trolling and criticism on social media.
A user wrote: “Hence proved, Sara Raza Khan was right.”
One commented: “Girl you’ve got to stop singing from your nose.”
Another said: “Yes you really do need an autotune.”
