(Web Desk) - Famous supermodels Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid are receiving numerous death threats and abuse as a result of their criticism of the Israeli government's actions during the ongoing Israeli military onslaught in Gaza.

Both women have been outspoken in their support for the Palestinian cause.

The Hadid sisters have been outspoken supporters of Palestinian rights in the ongoing conflict since they were young. The Hadid sisters were born to luxury real estate entrepreneur and Palestinian father Mohamed Hadid.

In reaction to the disturbing amount of death threats they have received, the Hadid family has reportedly been forced to take security precautions, including changing their phone numbers.

Mohamed Hadid is apparently thinking about working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to find out who is behind these ominous threats.

Particularly Gigi Hadid has received a lot of attention for her support of Palestine, which has prompted criticism from some of her Israeli followers. Notably, she offered her regrets for the loss of life caused by the recent Hamas attack in Southern Israel on October 7, which claimed both Palestinian and Jewish lives.

"I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation; it's a responsibility I hold daily," the model, 28, added. She also made clear that violence to Jews was not part of her wishes for the Palestinians.

The supermodel emphasised that terrorist activities like the one committed by Hamas risk portraying Palestinian resistance as anti-Semitic. She also denounced other terrorist crimes.

She posted a remark refuting the idea that criticising the Israeli government is unpatriotic on her Instagram account.

It read, "There is nothing Jewish about the Israeli government's treatment of Palestinians. Condemning the Israeli government is not anti-Semitic, and supporting Palestinians is not supporting Hamas."
