NEW DELHI (Web Desk) - Renowned Bollywood singer Yo Yo Honey Singh received death threats from notorious gangster Goldy Brar who was also accused of murdering noted Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosay Wala.

The rapper said that he received death threats through voice notes by Brar.

The Desi Kalakar singer didn't give further details to the media as he said: “I’m scared. I have received a threat for the first time in my life and I am scared. We received some voice notes also. We received these threats from international phone numbers.”

Singh is very much scared after receiving a threatening voice note from Brar. The singer visited the Delhi police to launch a complaint against the gangster, but he still can’t get the incident out of his head.

The 40-year-old singer is shocked, as it never happened to him before. He only received love from fans all across the world, he said.

The police have provided him security as he is scared after receiving threats. The Delhi police also said that Brar is hiding in Canada currently.

Honey Singh is one of the famous Indian rapper-singers with many hit songs to his credit such as Sunny Sunny, Dil Chori, Chaar Bottle Vodka, Lungi Dance, and many more.

It is not new for Bollywood stars to receive death threat calls. Earlier, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone Sanjay Leela Bhansali and many other celebrities have received threat calls via phone or voice notes.

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala had also received death threats and later he was brutally murdered. The same Goldy Brar is accused of killing Moose Wala.

Brar is a member of Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Notably, in May this year, Goldy Brar was named one of the top 25 wanted criminals by the Canadian government.

He has been charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, as well as the supply of illegal firearms in India, according to Interpol.
