HEC warns varsities against any violation of its guidelines
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has once again announced a ban on granting new affiliations to colleges by public universities, Dunya News has reported.
The HEC has restrained government universities from awarding new affiliations to colleges or institutes till the release of revised criteria.
It has directed that all advertisements related to affiliations in both electronic and print media should also be withdrawn. The HEC has warned against any violation of its guidelines.
It may be mentioned here that government universities had to bear a loss of billions of rupees due to the ban last year.
