Two suspected bandits killed in police 'encounters'

Gujranwala (Dunya News) – Three alleged police encounters took place in different areas of Gujranwala and Thul of Sindh, with elimination of two alleged robbers and an arrest of bandit on Tuesday night.

In the first incident in Qila Deedar Singh police jurisdiction, an alleged robber was killed in a shootout with police, who claimed the suspect had injured a policeman. He was identified as Irfan.

In Baghbanpura police jurisdictions, a suspected robber was arrested after he sustained wounds in a shootout in police encounter. He has been identified as Irfan. His four accomplices escaped.

In Thul, E-Section police exchanged fire with a suspected robber. In the crossfire, the suspect was killed. He has been identified as Ali Jan. His other accomplices escaped under the cover of darkness. Arms and looted valuables have been seized. Further investigation was under way.
