33 arrested in Khanewal crackdown on drug peddlers

Ten suspects injured in shootouts with police. 53-kg Charas, 2-kg heroin and one-kg ice
KHANEWAL (Dunya News) – Police claimed to have nabbed 33 suspected drug traffickers – 10 of them in injured condition - from different areas during a crackdown, Dunya News reported here Sunday night.
According to DPO Ismail, a crackdown has been launched on drug peddlers in different of Khanewal. During raids, 10 outlaws were injured in shootouts with police. They opened fire, which was retaliated, injuring them.
The district police recovered 53-kg Charas, 2-kg heroin and one-kg ice. DPO has warned that there was a zero tolerance against drug traffickers. Those arrested in raids have been sent to jail. Investigation was underway.
