UBAURO (Dunya News) - Police after a shootout with suspected robbers managed to rescue a man adducted for ransom in Rawanthi police jurisdiction here on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

According to police, robbers a few weeks ago had kidnapped a man from Kashmore for ransom. On a tip-off, police launched a rescue operation in Ubauro of Ghotki district and after a stiff resistance from the outlaws managed to rescue the man.

The outlaws fled leaving their abductee in their hideout. Police were raiding to arrest the fleeing robbers.

LANOURER KIDNAPPED

In Manghopir police jurisdiction of Karachi, a labourer was kidnapped and his abductors demanded Rs60 million ransom for his release.

Police have registered a case and handed it over to the Anti-Violent Crime Cell police for further investigation.

Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar, taking notice of the incident, sought details from police high-ups and directed for ensuring the recovery of the hostage.
