KASUR (Dunya News) – Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three alleged bandits after an ‘encounter’ with them in Allabad police jurisdiction, Dunya News reported.
Police were informed that four robbers fled after snatching cash and valuables a citizen indentified Iftikhar.
The law enforcers chased the fleeing robbers and encountered them near Pattoki Hospital.
The robbers resorted to indiscriminate firing. Police retaliated in a befitting manner and silenced their guns and later found two robbers lying injured on ground.
Police took them in custody along with their accomplice whereas their fourth comrade managed to escape.
The injured robbers were identified as Waqas and Mehmood. Weapons, stolen bikes and other valuables were seized from them.
Police said the arrested robbers were involved in dozens of heinous crimes. Further investigation is under way.
