Mystery shrouding the missing children is resolved as man confesses throwing them in canal
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police resolved the mystery shrouding the four missing children with the arrest of their father who turned out to be their killer, after an extensive investigation.
The suspect identified as Azeem had lodged a complaint with the Kahna police on Oct 1 that his four children had gone missing and he feared that they had been kidnapped by his rivals.
Police started investigation and during the probe, the investigators found contradictions in the statements of the suspect and interrogated him, which led to the clue to the missing children.
During the interrogation, the suspect told police that he himself killed his kids after throwing them into a canal in Kasur.
He revealed to police that he took his kids from home on the pretext that they were going to Kasur for taking a breakfast in a hotel.
“On reaching Kasur early in the morning, I stopped my motorcycle near a canal, and finding that there was nobody, I pushed them into the canal, and hurried to home," he told police during the interrogation.
The victims were identified as Sabar, 12, Samia, 9, Nabiha, 5, and Aysha, 2.
