KARACHI (Dunya News) - The husband was killed while the wife got critically injured in the name of ‘honour’ in Karachi.
The tragic incident took place in Pehlwan Goth area of Gulistan-e-Johar. According to police, Abbas opened fire on Muhammad Safdar and Azra Batool.
They had contracted love marriage and fell prey to the ‘honour killing’. The assailant was identified as the brother of injured wife. The suspect fled from the scene after firing.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Gulshan, Uzair Ahmad, also visited the crime scene.
The police said that the suspect had invited the couple for a dinner at his home and he opened the fire on his sister and brother-in-law before fleeing from the scene.
