KARACHI (Dunya News) – The economic hub of Pakistan, Karachi is grappling with criminal elements as 45,000 incidents of robbery were reported within the span of six months, a latest Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) report reveals.

According to the CPLC, from 1st January to 30th June, 14,115 mobile phones were snatched, whereas 28,886 motorcycles and 1,111 cars were stolen or snatched within six months.

During these six months, more than 70 citizens were killed for retaliating during robbery, with hundreds of others wounded in same manner.

Approximately 300 individuals lost their lives in various violent incidents, involving personal animosities and other disputes.
