FIA arrests two suspects involved in illegal currency exchange
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other institutions on Friday arrested two suspects with illegally acquired millions of rupees in a joint operation in Peshawar.
According to sources, the two suspects were involved in ‘hawala and hundi’ [illegal transactions] trade. They said Rs37.5 million and receipts related to illegal transactions were recovered from the possession of the suspects.
Sources added that the suspects had been practicing the trade for five years and the FIA had sent their mobile phones for forensic analysis for further investigation.
