(Web Desk) – Pakistan will take on Namibia in their last group match of the T20 World Cup at Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground in Colombo on Wednesday.
Pakistan have won two matches in the group and at the third place on points table behind the United States (USA) who are at second spot on the basis of better run rate.
Pakistan must win the match to proceed to the Super Eight stage. They will, however, move to the next stage if the match is washed out due to rain because they will get a point and move up the points table with five points to USA’s four.
India have already qualified for the nex round as they have won all the three matches they have play so far.
Meanwhile, sources revealed that two to three changes are expected in the national team.
According to sources, the Pakistan cricket team's management is disappointed with the recent performances of senior players. They are considering resting Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi for today’s match.
Earlier, the national team had a rigorous three-hour training session in the morning.
The match will start at 2:30 pm Pakistan Standard time. The sky in Colombo is overcast and there is a prediction of thunderstorm in the evening.
Pakistan have defeated Namibia in T20 World Cup in 2021 in Abu Dhabi by 45 runs. They scored 189-2 and restrict Namibia to 144-5.
