DAMBULLA (Dunya News) - Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 14 runs in the third and final T20 match to level the series 1-1.

Chasing a target of 161 runs, Pakistan could manage 146 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 12 overs.

Captain Salman Ali Agha was the top scorer for Pakistan with 45 runs.

For Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz scored 28, Khawaja Nafe made 26, Sahibzada Farhan added 9, while Saim Ayub and Shadab Khan scored 6 runs each.

Usman Khan managed just one run.

Earlier, in the third and final match of the Pakistan–Sri Lanka T20 series, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bowl first against the hosts.

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted 160 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 12 overs.

Dasun Shanaka was the top scorer with 34 runs, followed by Kusal Mendis with 30, Dhananjaya de Silva with 22, Charith Asalanka with 21, and Kamil Mishara with 20 runs.

Originally scheduled for 6:00 PM (Pakistan time), the toss was delayed to 8:30 PM due to rain, and the game was reduced to 12 overs per side.

Earlier in the series, Pakistan had won the first T20 by six wickets, while the second match was abandoned due to rain.
