Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is under close medical supervision after sustaining a minor foot injury
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Star pacer Shaheen Afridi has suffered a minor injury to the tissue in his foot, prompting immediate medical attention.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that Afridi is currently under the close supervision of the team’s medical staff.
Officials stated that the injury is minor but requires careful monitoring. “Shaheen Afridi sustained a minor injury to the foot tissue, and he has been placed under immediate observation by the medical team,” PCB sources confirmed.
The medical team is conducting continuous assessments to track his recovery. Team management emphasised that any decision regarding Afridi’s participation in upcoming matches will depend on his health improvement and full medical clearance.
“The priority is the player’s fitness and complete rehabilitation,” the management added. Precautionary measures are being taken to ensure that Afridi, who is the captain of Pakistan’s One-Day team, can return to peak condition before resuming competitive play.
The fast bowler’s availability for upcoming fixtures will be determined once the medical team confirms that he is fully fit.
