LAHORE (Web Desk) – Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has addressed speculation regarding his potential participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

During a Champions Trophy transmission on a private TV channel, the host asked Amir whether he planned to play in the IPL after acquiring a British passport. Amir responded, "If I get the opportunity to play in the IPL next year, I will definitely go for it."

When questioned about possible criticism in Pakistan over his IPL participation, Amir stated, "I have retired from international cricket."

He took a dig at critics, he added that while Pakistani cricketers were banned from IPL, several former players had worked as commentators and franchise coaches in the league.
