The decision comes after a meeting between Mohsin Naqvi and Rizwan
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has decided to appoint wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan as captain for national T20 and ODI teams.
Sources said Head Coach Gary Kirsten had recommended the name of Rizwan, adding that selectors had threw weight behind the decision.
It comes after the PCB chief held a meeting with Rizwan following a Test series won by Pakistan against England in Rawalpindi.
Furthermore, Naqvi had also decided to appoint Salman Ali Agha as vice captain.
Rizwan will replace Babar Azam, who had been appointed Pakistan’s white-ball captain in March earlier this year.
