Bumrah said one has to control emotions on field while they are uncontrollable after hard-fought win
(Web Desk) - After winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, emotions took the better of Indian Cricket Team players as their much-awaited dream of winning the ICC trophy came true.
Tears on the faces of Hardik Pandya and Mohammad Siraj were visible after the victory that showed how great a moment of winning was.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, whose side came second in the 50 overs world cup last year against Australia, was also overwhelmed with emotions and was seen spending the happy moments after the victory with his wife.
Virat Kohli, while speaking after getting his man of the match award in the final, said "his head is in gratitude and the fact that there is a Higher Power sinks in now."
He added," This is my last T20 game and world cup. I was telling Rohit Sharma that one day you feel like you cannot get a run and then you come and things happen well, God is great.
Jasprit Bumrah, who won man of the tournament award, said there are times on the field when one has to keep one's emotions in check to deliver the good performance but now is the time after the victory that the sentiments are uncontrollable.
