COLOMBO (Web Desk) - A support staff member of the Pakistan cricket team has tested positive for COVID-19 and went into isolation after the team’s landing in Colombo for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
According to reports, a member of the national team’s support staff tested positive after the Pakistani contingent underwent Covid testing upon their arrival in Colombo.
The support staff has been quarantined meanwhile the Test squad will be resting on Thursday before starting the training sessions on Friday.
The squad will be engaged in practice drills before a three-day warm-up game scheduled from July 11 to 13.
Pakistan will be locking horns against the Lankans in a two-match Test series with the first match scheduled from July 16 to 20 at Galle, meanwhile, the second Test will be staged in Colombo from July 24 to 28.
