KARACHI (Dunya News) - Gold prices surged to record highs in both international and domestic markets on Tuesday, driven by strong global gains.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold jumped by $43 per ounce, reaching a new all-time high of $4,713 per ounce.

Following the global trend, prices in Pakistan’s local bullion markets also witnessed a sharp increase. The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs4,300 per tola, taking it to a new historic high of Rs493,662 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,686 to settle at Rs423,235.

Silver prices also moved upward. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs87 to reach Rs9,869, while the rate for 10 grams of silver rose by Rs76 to Rs8,461.

Market analysts attribute the continued rise in gold prices to global economic uncertainty and increased demand for safe-haven assets, which has pushed precious metals to unprecedented levels.
