ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government has reversed its decision to reduce electricity purchase rates from solar net metering users.
Energy Ministry Owais Leghari stated the cabinet had not approved the new policy regarding solar net metering consumes and had directed a review of policy, initially approved by the ECC, will be reconsidered and revised.

Under the proposed policy, the government planned to buy electricity from solar net metering users at Rs10 per unit.
